BOB strollers best for very active, fitness-focused parents

If you're a serious runner, the BOB brand of jogging strollers really seems to be the top brand to consider. Unfortunately, you will pay top dollar as well -- expect to pay between $250 and $350 for one. High price for sure, but from the glowing customer reviews it looks like the cost is well worth it.

The BOB Revolution Stroller the BOB Sport Utility Stroller and the BOB Ironman Sport Utility Stroller get most of the shout outs by active moms and dads.

What's the difference?

The Revolution Stroller has a front wheel that swivels for maneuverability in crowds or tight spaces, but which can also be locked for more efficient running.

The Sport Utility Stroller features knobby wheels for better grip and easier travel on bumpy trails and sidewalks.

The Ironman Stroller is for serious athletes. The front wheel is fixed for greater stability and the wheels are more like those on a high end road bike, versus the mountain bike type wheels on the Sport Utility Stroller.

I love the fixed front wheel of my Ironman Stroller. It makes jogging along so much easier than my old swivel-front stroller. It is solidly made and rolls smoothly over my standard route of sidewalk, side streets and an occasional dirt path! - SoopahMom 7 years ago

Schwinn joggers best for moderately active, budget-conscious parents

If shelling out $300 for a baby stroller is not what you have in mind as a good use of your dollars, consider the Schwinn jogger instead.

At around $200, it offers good value for the money. I found it very good for every day use. With a large, 12-inch swiveling front wheel and really large 16-inch back wheels, it did a great job cushioning my kids from a bumpy ride on the mean streets of Concord :o)

My sister-in-law has this Schwinn jogger and she likes it. She's not a runner, so she has more standard "stroller needs" than I have. - SoopahMom 7 years ago
