Welcome to Wantbox!

All Products and Services on Wantbox are made available subject to this Privacy Policy. By using the Products and Services, you agree, without limitation or qualification, to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

Wantbox will update this policy from time to time so please check back periodically. When such changes occur, you will see the word "updated" next to the Privacy Policy link on the front page of each site on Wantbox. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will prominently post such changes prior to implementing them.

What information of yours does Wantbox collect?

Our goal is to become the best community commerce site on the Internet. To achieve this goal, Wantbox must collect information so we can understand how our users visit our site and identify ways in which we can improve our offerings.

Information collected online is usually defined as being either anonymous or personally identifiable.

What are "cookies" and how does Wantbox use them?

In addition to the personally identifiable information that Wantbox actively collects when you register, we also collect anonymous information passively using cookies. This technology plays an important role in making the Internet work, but there is much confusion among Internet users about what cookies are and how they are used.

A cookie is a small text file containing a unique and encrypted identification string that is transferred from a Web site to the hard drive of your computer so that the site administrator may identify your computer and passively track its activities on the Web site. This unique string identifies your Web browser --but not you-- to Wantbox's computers whenever you visit Wantbox. A cookie will not allow a Web site to learn any personally identifiable information (such as your real name and address) that you have not otherwise disclosed.

To provide some features and to help serve you better, Wantbox generally uses cookies to:

Since cookies are only text files, they cannot run like a program on your computer, search your computer for other information, or transmit any information to anyone.

The use of cookies is now an industry standard, and they are currently used on most major Web sites. Wantbox requires the use of cookies for the site to work. The site will not function properly if you set your browser to refuse all cookies. Most Web browsers are initially set up to accept cookies.

How does Wantbox use the information it collects?

Any personally identifiable information you share with Wantbox when registering is maintained and accessible only by Wantbox unless specifically stated otherwise.

The following are examples of how Wantbox may use the information it collects:

How can you access, edit or delete your information? Wantbox provides its registered users the ability to access and edit the personal information in their user profiles. You can access your user profile by following these steps: What information do third-party advertising companies use?

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads on our Our system and the third-party advertising technology uses information derived from the content of the page containing the advertisement and any known and provided profile information of the page visitor. In addition, our advertisers may use other third-party advertising technology to target advertising on our site and other sites. In the course of advertisements being served to you, a unique third-party cookie or cookies may be placed on your computer. Similarly, third-party advertising companies may provide us with pixel tags (also called “clear gifs” or “beacons”) to help manage and optimize our online advertising. Beacons enable us to recognize a browser's cookie when a browser visits the site on which the beacon is located, and to learn which banner ads bring users to a given site.

Wantbox does not provide any personally identifiable information to third-party advertising companies. Note, however, that if an advertiser asks Wantbox to show an advertisement to users with certain characteristics (for example, women ages 18-24) or a segment of that group (for example, women ages 18-24 who have viewed certain categories of content) and you respond to that advertisement, the third-party advertising company may conclude that you have the characteristics of the audience that they are trying to reach.

What kinds of security procedures are in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of your information?

Only authorized employees have access to the information you provide us. Wantbox has implemented strict rules on employees who have access either to the databases that store user information or to the servers that host our services.
