I have ice dams all over my roof this year and I'm starting to get water leaking into my house. I hear roof heat cables may prevent ice dams and leaking?

With all these snowstorms, there has been a ton of snow and ice accumulating on my roof. I've been told a roof rake is needed to remove snow from my roof. What exactly is a roof rake and why do I need it?

I need a tree service! Mother Nature brought down a huge tree limb at my Grandma's house. It's partially blocking her driveway. Need a good local tree service!

Which type of salt is best? Magnesium Chloride, Calcium Chloride, or Sodium Chloride (Rock salt)? Are there any other alternative de-icers (liquid ice melter)? Are ice melt salts safe for asphalt, cement, or grass, plants, and other vegatation?

I would like a snowblower, powerful but compact. Would like to know if electric vs. gas would be better for me.

Needs to go easy on my gimpy back and be able to move or push a lot of snow. Would consider a power snow shovel.

I need a company that installs ice belts for roofs in the Syracuse, NY area. Need to prevent ice dams from forming from ice on roof this winter.

With all these snowstorms/blizzards hitting us - it is too much to handle to shovel on my own. I need a reliable snow plow service to remove snow from my driveway, and clear snow from my walkway. Would want the plow drivers to come early in the morning so I can get to work on time.

I hear the Toro is good. Any recommendations or should I get a real snow thrower? Needed mostly to clear my deck and walkways.

It's a rear-wheel drive sedan, and I have trouble getting up hills, especially when I start from a dead stop. Love the car, but need better traction!

Our usually snowfall from a storm is 3-8 inches, so it needs to be able to clear that amount. My neighbor has a Toro, are those any good?

It's built up pretty high with all our snow. I'm most concerned with the flatter section over my back porch. I think I also have budding ice dams!

I have had water leak into my home because of ice dams - want a house inspection to look for roof leak or other waterproofing issues. Definitely want to prevent more water leaks from happening again!

I'm getting a lot of ice dams on my roof and see areas where snow is melting indicating heat leakage.

With all this heavy snow accumulating, ice dams forming, I am worried about my roof collapsing. I heard of roofs of schools and office buldings falling in and injuring people inside. The pitch of my roof is not very steep, and I have a flat area over my porch area. Is there some inspection to know if my roof will not cave in, or if the roof can hold the weight of snow and ice.

Want rentals BEFORE going to our local ski mountain. Ski rental packages can be more expensive with questionable quality equipment. Also takes time to rent skis at the mountain. Looking for a local place where I can rent them for a few days beforehand.
